AFTER
FULL MODERATE EYELASH EXTENSIONS

BEFORE THE
EXTENSIONS

AFTER VERY HEAVY EXTENSIONS

Q. What are eyelash extensions?
They are individual synthetic, mink or silk eye lash hairs that are bonded to your own natural
upper eyelashes
with an adhesive especially formulated for this process. The new
little eyelash hairs will make your natural lashes look longer and thicker and
more upturned. They are smudge-proof, weightless
and available in different lengths to create the desired effect.
Q. Why can they be applied only to the upper
lashes?
Because of safety reasons. The eyes must be closed
through the whole process to avoid fumes or droplets from the adhesives.
Q. How safe
are the glues or adhesives used and adhesive removers?
Great care is taken to ensure that the adhesives do not come in contact with the eye.
The entire process is done with your eyes closed and your lower lashes are
covered securely to ensure that no adhesive comes in contact with them. Of
course the gentle remover we use will quickly unglue any lashes if necessary
to do so.
Q.
I already have long eyelashes, but would like them thicker looking, would
extensions do this?
They can make your already
long lashes thicker and darker.
Q. Can I wear mascara with the lash extensions if I wish to?
We don't recommend it, as it will eventually weaken the bonding
adhesive, and removing the mascara at night, as one should, will most likely
shorten the longevity of the extensions. However, mascara does make the
extensions show up more dramatically, if you desire this look, just be aware
of the results. Do not wear waterproof mascara, only mascaras that remove
easily with warm water.
Q.
What is the application process like and how long does it take?
You will receive a
thorough consultation before the procedure. There will be before and after
photos taken and an agreement form to sign and you will be given written after
care suggestions.
1. You will be
made comfortable in a reclined position on a professional facial chair and your lower eyelashes are
protected by a soft thin paper pad and medical paper adhesive
tape. (this does not hurt). You close your eyes and just relax.
2. The application time is from one
and a half hours to two hours depending on the look desired or how many
lashes are applied.
Q. How long will my Eyelash Extensions last?
They are not permanent but some added lash hairs may
last up to 4 weeks.
Many factors will affect the life of the lash extensions. Keep in mind
that your own natural lashes shed naturally, being completely replaced with new
little hairs that are constantly growing in. The life of a natural lash is
approximately 3 months, but they are falling out one or two at a time and we
usually don't notice this. So as the natural lash falls out, the hair glued to
it will of course fall off also. This varies for each person.
In general, your own natural lash cycle, your lifestyle, and aftercare will
affect how long the lashes last. Touch ups or fill-ins are recommended every
2-4
weeks, depending on your individual needs. Humidity and moisture will also
affect the life of the eyelash extensions.
Q.
Why are touch ups necessary?
Your natural eyelashes continue to grow in a
replenishing cycle. Since the extensions are bonded to your own natural
lash, you may need to refill the areas where your own natural lash has fallen
out. Touch-ups keep the lashes looking fresh. Touch ups generally
take 15-45 minutes, depending on how many lashes have fallen out. Each
person’s eyelashes fall out at different intervals. Getting touch ups is
similar to getting your nails filled. The point is, you only fill in the ones
that need it, it’s not necessary to get a new set every time unless you wait
until all the lashes have fallen as the natural lashes have shed to make way
for new ones.
In a two week period, as few as two or several lashes will fall from each eye, and some of
those are the ones where the extension was bonded to.
Q.
Will the Lash extensions pull out my natural lashes?
In general, the lash extensions will not pull out your
natural lashes. However, if you pull on the extensions, your natural lash
may come off with the extension. But do not worry; your natural lashes
will grow back. Do not attempt to remove the extensions yourself;
otherwise you will pull out your own natural lashes. Removals should be
done by a professional in order to preserve your own natural eyelashes.
Q. Who cannot or should not wear eyelash
extensions?
*Someone who has Glaucoma and must use eye drops
several times a
day
*Someone with extremely dry eyes and who uses lubrication
drops
*Very easily irritated eyes as in constantly
tearing
*Someone who constantly rubs their eyes or picks at their
eyelashes
*Someone who sleeps on their stomach is not the best candidate as it bends the
lashes and causes them to fall out
sooner
PRICES:
AVERAGE SET OF
UPPER LASHES...........................RANGES FROM $75 TO
$150
(Depending on how thick or dramatic effect you desire)
Very Dramatic
and Extra Thick.............$200
FILL-INS COST:
Just like with
fingernails extensions or overlays, you need fill-ins every two to three
weeks. So if you like the look of your gorgeous new eyelashes you will want
to maintain the look by getting Fill-ins when the lashes begin to look spacey
and skimpy form the natural fallout process. As was mentioned above this will
vary with each person but if you get a fill-in on a regular basic like every
two or three weeks you will receive a discount as you will need less lashes
added and therefore less time involved.
FILL-INS...................Cost
depends on the amount of replacements necessary to achieve your look.
RANGES FROM $25
TO $65 IF A FEW LASHES REMAIN.
IF NO LASHES
REMAIN AFTER ONE MONTH FROM FIRST APPLICATION OR LAST REFILL, THEN FULL PRICE
MAY APPLY.
